2 successful weekends

The last two weekends we have been working on preparing things for the arrival of our baby girl. We think we have had 2 successful weekends. Here is some of our progress.

Sewing:


We have finished 2 sets of crib sheets

Here is the first set (already on the crib)

and here is the other
Did a little repair work to the bed skirt that Aunt Tammi made. Now it fits :)



Woodworking:

4 drawers equals = a dresser in the making!!

Preston is making great headway on the dresser. He is already staining the drawers. More to come on that project.

Cooking:
Here and there we have been preparing meals and freezing them for after the baby arrives. We now have 13 homemade frozen meals ready to go (thanks for making the Chili for us mom). Plus we have been making and storing homemade ice cream for dessert. We have several quarts of ice cream ready. That has been hard not to dip into early :)

Something fun:
Here is a little box I made to hold our diaper pins.

We are also trying to enjoy as much couple time together as we can. We know these are our last few weekends with just the two of us. We went out to lunch yesterday and we went to watch a 3D movie together. We have been drinking coffee, renting movies and playing Yahtzee together.
